Looking for things to do in Newmarket? Come give lawn bowling a try! We bowl on Mon & Thur evenings at 6:45 PM, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at 7 PM as well as Wednesday morning at 10:15 AM. Please note that these times indicate the start of play, so plan to arrive 10-15 minutes earlier. A typical round of bowling lasts from 1 to 1.5 h

Additional Information
Very similar to curling, shuffleboard, or bocce, the objective of lawn bowling in Newmarket is to get as many of your bowls (the balls used in the game), or those of your team, as close as possible to the Jack, which is the small white ball.
At the Newmarket Lawn Bowling Club, we aim to create a pleasant and fun evening for everyone. We typically form teams at the start of play, focusing on balancing newer players with those who have more experience. Our goal is to foster a supportive environment where we can all learn, meet new people, and enjoy outdoor activities. A typical round of bowling lasts from 1 to 1.5 hours.
While some members have their own bowls, our club offers a good supply for most players. We have a cozy clubhouse beside the greens, making it a great spot to gather after play for refreshments or special events like the AGM or the occasional BBQ, all part of the vibrant community at the Newmarket Lawn Bowling Club.
