A small recreational club in the heart of Newmarket, Ontario
Join us for a free evening any Monday or Thursday at 6:45
Very similar to curling, shuffleboard, or bocce, the object of lawn bowling is to get as many of your bowls (as the balls are called), or those of your team, as close as possible to the Jack, which is the small white ball.
At the Newmarket Lawn Bowling Club, the goal is to have a pleasant and fun evening. Depending on numbers, we typically make up teams when everyone gathers, with an emphasis on balancing newer players with those with more experience. Our objective is create a supportive environment where we all can learn, meet some new people, and enjoy ourselves.
While some members have their own bowls, the Club has a good supply that most of us use. We have a small clubhouse beside the greens where we gather after playing for refreshments or for special events like the AGM or the occasional BBQ!
